Record season for Stefan Kraft
After an incredibly successful season with many personal highlights, Stefan Kraft was crowned overall World Cup winner for the third time!
“Mr. Consistency” started the season with a bang: two victories in Ruka, followed by two wins in Lillehammer!
Up until Christmas, there was only one competition in which the man from Salzburg didn’t smile from the podium. He finished the Four Hills Tournament in third place overall and on January 21st 2024, the time had come: career podium number 109, making him the sole all-time record holder!
The run continued and “Krafti” once again showed his top form and mental strength at the Ski Flying World Championships at Kulm in Austria: after many wind-related postponements, he was crowned Ski Flying World Champion! The silver medal in the team followed the next day.
At the next highlight of the season, the “Raw Air Tour” in Norway, there was no way around Stefan and he was the deserved winner on the last day – for the third time in his career.
With many more podium finishes and victories, he went to the World Cup final in Planica, before which Stefan Kraft was already the overall World Cup winner.
At the end of a record-breaking season, he has the following to his name: 3rd overall World Cup victory, 3rd victory in the “Raw Air Tour”, Ski Flying World Champion, 13 victories and world record holder in podium finishes with 119 podium places.
It should not be forgotten that there is so much more behind every success than what can be seen from the outside: hard training, constant motivation, perseverance, passion, ups and downs, willingness to sacrifice, … and a great environment that makes it all possible.
Despite his incredible successes, Stefan Kraft manages to remain down-to-earth and likeable and always overcomes the many ups and downs of an athlete’s life with a smile.
With this in mind: Chapeau, legend!
